The Berlin-based Canadian designer aims to liberate objects from their initial function. He combines humour and innovation by using unusual materials and experimenting original making processes. The creative process is entirely part of his colourful objects' aesthetic; it builds the curious resulting form such as his favoured use of melted wax demonstrates: the boundaries between design and art are therefore clearly blurred. Jerszy Seymour's parents were dancers, thus he masters the science of mingling creativity and discipline.
