Planet Earth presents the world a bit differently. The single continents are distinctive by a slight relief. There is a different image viewed out of every angle. Also if Planet Earth isn’t switched on, the continents are clearly viewable. The silky surface of the mainland brings the deciding contrast against the smooth as glass surface of the seas. Planet Earth is an extremely decorative pendant lamp by the Formland company and it has been designed by Friedrich H. Sachs and Benjamin Hopf. The sphere diffuser consists of polyurethane – the baldachin included in the delivery consists of lacquered metal.
